Rainy day

It’s been such a nice rainy Saturday. Dan was working (at Morris East) but I went out and braved the rain all alone.
Along with my usual stops this morning I also went to Make New on Queen st (where I bought a couple of really cute things!), Inkwell & Steve-O-Renos.
I also picked up a new succulent (the little guy on the right in the last photo) and potted him up next to that spiky succulent who needed a buddy!
You may be wondering where all the veggies are in the photo of my market haul- we get all of our veggies on Wednesdays
at Local Source where we pick up our CSA box! This means we only get our meat, eggs, milk and bread at the market on Saturdays.

I am looking forward to relaxing for the rest of the day and drinking some wine tonight with a really good friend!

Long weekend

I was lucky to have a long weekend this past weekend because of remembrance day.
This meant Dan and I got to hang out lots. We had two big, delicious meals with two different sets of friends
(one  of the friends has a blog called Domestic Bliss).
We also went to see Death from Above 1979 on Friday, hit up the farmers market and took in the nice weather yesterday.
Some photos…

Where we eat.

A parcel for a far away friend

One of the many good meals of the weekend,  fall veg gnocchi.

Have a good week.

North Mountain Coffee

I had the chance to taste North Mountain Coffee for the first time this week and it was delicious!
You should check out their website and keep your eyes open ’cause you might see their coffee around town one day (fingers crossed)!

I think that the drawings of the producers are such a nice touch! And that logo…. so pretty!

Saturday

Dan and I love Saturday mornings. We get up, go to Two If By Sea, check out the farmers market and then just eat a lot of good food.

This Saturday we picked up lunch at Ratinaud, a half chicken and chips! Dan cooked up some greens too. It was really good.

Tonight we are going to cook up a good meal, drink wine and listen to records!
